1. At this time, Beckett Grading Services accepts and grades most licensed cards up to 8.5 inches by 11 inches. Additional fees will apply to items larger then 3x5. Please note that cards showing evidence of counterfeiting,
tampering, or restoration will be charged the full amount according to the service option selected. By not checking either of the “Authentic” boxes on the front of the submission form, your cards will be given a numeric grade if
the cards are deemed to be gradable by BGS standards. Usual grading fees apply. Please refer to www.beckett.com/grading for updated information.
2. All submissions must be addressed to Beckett Grading Services. Improperly addressed shipments are not subject to turnaround time selected. Cards should be sent in oversized (3.25" X 5") semi-rigid holders (such as a Card
Saver I). “Penny sleeves” should also be used in conjunction with the oversized semi-rigid holders. BGS will not be responsible for any damages incurred by the use of other holders.
3. All card submissions must be accompanied by a Beckett-issued submission form. All other forms, including handwritten copies, are null and void.
4. Please PRINT your name and account number (if you have one) in the upper right corner of the form. If you do not have an account number, one will be assigned to you.
6. Please be sure to notate your return shipping method of choice in the 'SHIP VIA' box. Standard shipping will be via FedEx Ground unless otherwise marked. Feel free to use your existing FedEx or UPS account # if you have

7. List all cards you are submitting with quantity, year of issue, set name or company (please use standard Beckett terminology when possible), card number, card/player name, and your declared value per lot. You may use
additional forms to list more cards, but please only choose one service level per submission form.
8. Select 'Grading Service' level. Check one level only. (See top of rules section for more details). Please separate cards based on submission levels and requirements.
9. To determine amount owed, use the 'Calculating $ to be paid to BGS' area. Total the number of cards submitted and multiply by the price per card for the grading service you select. Figure return postage and insurance using
appropriate tables. Add 8.25% Sales Tax to the cost of service and shipping if you are a Texas resident only, unless the cards are for re-sale and you provide us with a valid re-sale tax ID number.
examined or processed until payment is made in full. Don't forget the expiration date, security code, and signature. All payments must be in U.S. funds. Returned checks will be assessed a $30.00 fee.
11. Be sure to include return insurance and ship to address on top of submission form. Send to the attention of 'Beckett Grading Services. Beckett will not be responsible for damages on packages sent for grading so insurance
and tracking is recommended. Owner's declared value is used for determining insurance cost of the return shipment and the maximum amount that can be claimed for damage or loss in shipment for any card or cards. If a
claim is necessary at any point, the value of each card will be based upon the actual market value not to exceed the insured value the customer assigned to the card.

Important Facts about Beckett Grading

What is the Beckett Grading form used for?

The Beckett Grading form is designed for submitting cards for grading and authentication. Collectors use this form to provide details about the cards they want graded, including the card's set name, year, and declared value. It ensures that all necessary information is collected to process the submission accurately and efficiently.

How do I fill out the Beckett Grading form?

Begin by printing your name and account number in the upper right corner. If you do not have an account, one will be assigned to you. List all cards you are submitting, including the quantity, year, set name, card number, and player name. Select the grading service level and include payment information. Make sure to indicate your preferred return shipping method. Finally, sign and date the form to confirm your agreement to the terms and conditions.

What payment methods are accepted with the Beckett Grading form?

Payments can be made using personal checks, money orders, or credit cards. If you choose to pay by credit card, you need to provide the card number, expiration date, and CVC code. All payments must be in U.S. funds. Please avoid sending cash, as it is not recommended.

What happens if my cards are deemed altered or counterfeit?

If your cards are found to be altered, they will be sealed and placed in a standard Beckett Authentic/Altered case. If you choose to have your cards authenticated without a numeric grade, they will be labeled as “Authentic” if they pass the authentication process. Standard grading fees will still apply for this service.

How should I ship my cards to Beckett Grading Services?

Cards should be sent in oversized semi-rigid holders, such as Card Saver I, and should be accompanied by the completed Beckett Grading form. It is important to use proper packaging to prevent damage during transit. Consider adding insurance and tracking for your shipment, as Beckett will not be responsible for any damages incurred while the cards are in transit.

Common mistakes

When filling out the Beckett Grading form, mistakes can easily occur. One common error is failing to provide complete personal information. This includes your name, address, and contact details. Without this information, the grading service may not be able to reach you if there are any issues with your submission.

Another mistake often made is not checking the appropriate boxes for grading services. The form has options for numeric grading and authentication only. If you skip this step, you might not receive the service you intended. Additionally, forgetting to include the declared value for each card can lead to problems later, especially if you want to ensure proper insurance coverage.

People frequently neglect to calculate the total amount due correctly. It's important to multiply the number of cards by the grading fee and include any additional charges, such as for oversized items or return postage. Miscalculating the total can delay processing or lead to the return of your cards.

Some individuals also fail to sign the form. A signature is crucial as it indicates your agreement to the terms and conditions. Without it, the submission may not be processed. Moreover, not including payment information, such as credit card details or a check, can halt the entire grading process.

Another common oversight is improperly addressing the shipment. If the cards are not sent to the correct address, they may not arrive at Beckett Grading Services. This can result in delays or even loss of your cards. Similarly, using inadequate packaging can lead to damage during transit, which Beckett will not be responsible for.

Lastly, many forget to read the instructions on the back of the form. These guidelines contain vital information about the submission process. Ignoring them can lead to mistakes that could have been easily avoided. Taking the time to carefully review the form can save you from potential headaches down the line.
